Comprehensive Arabic Language Programs by Critical Language Service
Flexible Arabic Language Instruction for Schools
Critical Language Service offers comprehensive Arabic language programs via Zoom, featuring experienced Arabic instructors and all essential course materials (excluding physical textbooks). Our programs eliminate the need for schools to hire specialized staff or create their own curriculum. Designed for scalability, our offerings include full-scale language programs, individual classes, and customizable options to suit schools of any size and their specific educational needs.
Incorporating Arabic into Your School Schedule
Our Arabic language program integrates seamlessly into your school’s schedule, allowing Arabic to be offered as a regular subject. Classes are held in a familiar classroom setting, enhanced with video conferencing capabilities, which we can help set up—often utilizing existing equipment. All coursework managed through the learning management system, Canvas. The only difference is that the teacher is remote, delivering lessons via interactive video conferencing. This setup maintains a high-quality educational experience and provides the flexibility for students to participate remotely when needed, such as during snow days or when they are offsite.
Interactive Learning with Native Arabic Speakers
Our interactive Zoom classes bring native Arabic speakers from Egypt and Morocco directly to your classroom. These highly qualified teachers specialize in online instruction, providing students with an immersive language experience typically only available through study-abroad programs. This global connection enriches the learning environment, offering students a broader perspective on Arabic language and culture.
Customizable Courses for Every Educational Level
Our programs cater to students from kindergarten through college and beyond, with materials and teaching methods tailored to different age groups. Students benefit from additional online support and tutoring as needed, with both graded and ungraded options available. Graded courses include regular assessments and exams, with grades based on exams, homework, projects, and class participation.
Ensuring Every Learner Thrives
At Critical Language Service, we are dedicated to the success of every student. Our tech-integrated curriculum, combined with personalized support, ensures that each learner receives the guidance and resources they need to excel in Arabic. We collaborate closely with schools to create a learning environment that promotes growth and achievement in foreign language education.
Although we are not currently accredited and cannot independently grant credit for Arabic courses, we can assist students in taking proficiency exams that may qualify for high school or college credit.
State requirements for granting credit vary, but if your school can award credit under your accreditation, we’re ready to collaborate with your foreign language department. We can customize curriculum paths, assessments, and grading methodologies to align with your specific requirements and share all student work with your educators.
This ensures that our Arabic courses meet your institution’s standards for awarding credit, giving you full confidence in the program Critical Language Service provides.

Before setting a date for a trial lesson, we recommend meeting with a technology coordinator or the person responsible for room setup to ensure all students can be seen and heard, and to allow for movement within the learning space. You’ll receive guidance on how to prepare for a trial lesson. We’ll also schedule a date and time for your trial lesson with one of Critical Language Service’s Arabic teachers.
At Critical Language Service, we use a Flipped Learning approach. This method allows students to engage with interactive study materials before the lesson, replacing traditional lectures. This ensures that class time is dedicated to active and interactive learning.
To get the most out of the trial lesson and truly evaluate the effectivness of our program, it’s crucial that the students who will participate in the trial lesson spend at least 2 hours reviewing the assigned materials in the days leading up to it.
Within 24 hours of agreeing to the time and date of the trial lesson, you will receive a in invitation to pre-scheduled Zoom meeting with a link and other login information to be used on the time of the lesson. Please have the the stie coordinator login about 15 minutes before the scheduled time, you’ll receive a Zoom meeting invite via email. Simply click the link to join the session.
Once the lesson begins, you’ll engage directly with your Arabic teacher, with most interactions conducted in Arabic—even for beginners. For students who have reviewed the prep materials, the limited use of English won’t be an issue. After the lesson concludes, you’ll have a chance to meet with our director to discuss your experience and explore signing up for ongoing lessons.
We integrate our classes into your regular school day, aligning with your bell and holiday schedule. Currently we are are able to accommodate any regular schedule, including block scheduling.
We also offer additional support through tutoring and study halls as needed. Students should attend classes from a single room with the teacher displayed on a large screen TV that is placed as close to the eye level of studnets when they are seated, as possible.
It is also important for students to have a touch-screen device, like an iPad or tablet, to access lesson materials and use as a writing tablet during lessons. Finally, schools to assign an adult to be present in the Arabic class for attendance, emergency safety, and discipline purposes. This could be a teaching aide or a teacher on prep; their role is solely to supervise, not to participate in the teaching.
Your students will start speaking Arabic from day one with our immersive classes, where teachers speak Arabic 90% of the time. Students will access course materials through Canvas, our learning management system. The link for each day’s class is posted on Canvas 5 to 10 minutes before the session begins.
Classes are available on a semester basis, with payment due before the start of each semester period. We understand that sometimes plans change, and you may need to cancel or reschedule a class.
To cancel provide written notice at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. Make-up lessons must be completed within the same month for monthly students and within the same semester for schools.
